The simple leaves are alternate and petiolate. The hairy and thick petiole is up to 4–6 inches long. The broad, egg-shaped, soft, papery leaves are up to 8–15 centimeters long and 9 centimeters wide. They are deeply heart-shaped or arrow-shaped and usually pointed or pointed and on the edge mostly more or less finely toothed or sawn or, more rarely, completely to slightly bulged. The leaf blade is short-bristled on both sides and hackled and hairy as well as scaly. The leaves are clinging like Velcro . The veins impressed on the upper side are radially pinnate along a basal artery following the heart-shaped base of the spreading. The stipules are missing.

The yellow, bell-shaped and stalked, five-fold, functionally unisexual flowers have a double flower envelope . The softly hairy flower stalk is up to 3.5 centimeters long. The short cup-shaped overgrown calyx with spreading, longer and narrow-elongated, up to 1.3 centimeters long lobes is hairy. The roof-like and longitudinally veined petals are finely glandular with curved, triangular tips. In the male flowers, with horizontal scales at the base; Short stamens are present above the reduced pestle, 4 are fused in pairs and one is free.
