Thomas Auer (born November 5, 1982 in Hohenems ) is an Austrian ice hockey player who has been playing at EHC Lustenau in the Alps Hockey League since 2012 .

Career

Thomas Auer began his career as an ice hockey player at EHC Lustenau , for which he made his debut in the Austrian ice hockey league in the 1999/2000 season , scoring six points in 22 games in his rookie year .

After four years in the professional team of the EHC Lustenau, he left it after its voluntary withdrawal to the second-class national league in summer 2003 and signed with the first division club EC Supergau Feldkirch , which he left after only one year.

From 2004 to 2006 the attacker was under contract with EC Red Bull Salzburg ( 2005/06 Austrian runner-up) and in the 2006/07 season with HC Innsbruck in the highest Austrian league.

He was then signed by EC Dornbirn from the National League, the champions of which he was with his team in the 2007/08 season and for which he played until 2012.

He then returned to his home club EHC Lustenau , with whom he was INL champion in the 2014/15 season . The trained striker will play as a defender in the 2018/19 season .

International

For Austria Auer took part in the U18 Junior B World Championships in 2000 and the U20 Junior B World Championships in 2001 and 2002 .
