Thomas Boger

Thomas Boger (* 1970 in Pforzheim ) is a German conductor and trumpeter . Since 2009 he has been chief conductor of the Lower Saxony Police Orchestra .

Thomas Boger studied trumpet at the University of the Arts in Bremen with Professor Otto Sauter and at the University of Music in Detmold with Professor Max Sommerhalder . Private studies took him over many years to Bo Nilson in Sweden and then to Pierre Thibaud in Paris.

During these years he received impulses for conducting from Hans Joachim Kaufmann, Joachim Harder, Douglas Bostock , Maurice Hamers and Jan Cober . His many years of study with Pierre Kuijpers were formative .

Thomas Boger has been chief conductor of the Lower Saxony Police Orchestra since 2009. His musical spectrum ranges from classical to film music and musicals to pop-rock and jazz music. In cooperation with the NDR, live recordings, CD productions and radio broadcasts were made.

He works as a guest conductor and lecturer with the Federal Police Orchestra Hanover, the Army Music Corps 1 of the Federal Armed Forces, the Young Wind Philharmonic Orchestra NRW and the State Police Orchestra NRW.

Boger worked with the soloists Markus Becker , Oliver Mascarenhas, Rupprecht Drees, Ulfert Smidt , Maricel , Janice Harrington, Terry Hoax , I can fly , Juliano Rossi and the Rainbirds.

As a trumpeter, Boger takes part in ensembles and orchestras for early music such as the Munich Chamber Orchestra , Göttingen Baroque Orchestra, La Stagione Frankfurt, L 'Arco Hanover and others.
