Thomas Bruns (writer)

Thomas Bruns (born November 16, 1976 in Greven , Westphalia ) is a German poet .

life and work

Thomas Bruns was born in 1976 in Greven, Westphalia . After graduating from high school at Augustinianum Greven and completing military service, he began studying economics at the Westphalian Wilhelms University in Münster in 1997 , but switched to politics , philosophy and comparative literature at the same university after four semesters . After the turn of the millennium, his studies were followed by various longer stays and trips to India .

Since the beginning of the 2000s, Thomas Bruns has been represented as an author with publications in various poetry anthologies, including 2002 in the Martin Werhand Verlag in the third volume of the anthology series Junge Lyrik . In 2003, on the occasion of World Book Day , he was invited along with six other poets, including Florian Cieslik , Patric Hemgesberg and Martin Werhand , to an author reading by Thalia Holding on April 23 for the Junge Lyrik series in Münster . In addition, Bruns was present with poems in the poetry anthology The Seasons of Love in 2006 . In November 2015 he published his first volume of poetry stardust in the 50 poems series by Martin Werhand Verlag. His second poetry publication followed in September 2016 under the title Dawn in the series 100 poems by the same publisher. In December 2019, the MWV published a third volume by Bruns under the title Magic Book in the series 150 poems.

Thomas Bruns lives and works today as a freelance author in Münster.
