Thomas Gottschall

Thomas Gottschall (born September 12, 1962 in Winterthur ) is a Swiss Protestant Reformed pastor. He was dean of the Graubünden Synod for eight years .

biography

Gottschall is a son of the doctor Heinz Gottschall and grew up in Winterthur in the canton of Zurich . From January 1, 1992 to the end of October 2014, he served as pastor in Trimmis in the Chur Rhine Valley at the Reformed village church there . In 2015 he took on a new role as parish priest at the Reformed Church in Rüti in the Zurich Oberland .

He has been married since 1985 and has two children.

Church leadership functions in Graubünden

Gottschall served as dean of the Graubünden synod from the 2006 synod in Grono in the parish center there until the 2014 synod in Castrisch in the church there . In this function he was the highest representative of the pastorate in the Evangelical Reformed Church in Graubünden . At the same time he officially took a seat as a member of the church council in the executive branch of the regional church, where he held the synodal and personal department . Gottschall had been a member of the church council since 2001 before he was elected dean. His successor as dean is Cornelia Camichel Bromeis .
