Thomas Ignatius MacWan

Thomas Ignatius MacWan (born October 14, 1952 in Bhavnagar , Gujarat , India ) is Archbishop of Gandhinagar .

Life

Thomas Ignatius Macwan received on 9 April 1988, the sacrament of Holy Orders .

On 11 November 2002 appointed him Pope John Paul II. To the Bishop of Ahmedabad . The Archbishop of Gandhinagar, Stanislaus Fernandes SJ , donated him episcopal ordination on January 11, 2003 ; Co- consecrators were the Archbishop of Nagpur , Abraham Viruthakulangara , and the Bishop of Baroda , Godfrey de Rozario SJ.

On June 12, 2015, Pope Francis appointed him Archbishop of Gandhinagar. The inauguration took place on September 12 of the same year.
