Thomas Kwaku Mensah

Thomas Kwaku Mensah (born February 2, 1935 in Assamang , † April 10, 2016 in Kumasi ) was Archbishop of Kumasi .

Life

Thomas Kwaku Mensah was ordained a priest for the Archdiocese of Kumasi on June 3, 1973 .

Pope John Paul II appointed him Bishop of Obuasi on March 3, 1995 . He received his episcopal ordination on May 28th of the same year by the Cardinal Prefect of the Congregation for the Evangelization of Peoples , Jozef Tomko ; Co- consecrators were Francis Anani Kofi Lodonu , Bishop of Ho , and Gregory E. Kpiebaya , Archbishop of Tamale .

Pope Benedict XVI appointed him on March 26, 2008 Archbishop of Kumasi. On May 15, 2012, Benedict XVI. Thomas Kwaku Mensah's application for resignation due to reasons of age.
