Thomas Putensen (born December 4, 1959 in Rostock ) is a German actor , pianist , composer and singer .

life and career

At the Erwin Fischer POS in Greifswald, he worked in the painting circle and a singing club in Greifswald. His first settings were those of the school history book as well as compositions and appearances with the school's singing group .

After graduating from school, Putensen began an apprenticeship as a carpenter on the island of Riems in 1976 . In 1979 he switched to the musical division of the Greifswald Theater and composed theater music. He later worked as a répétiteur at the State Ballet School in Berlin and also composed numerous film scores.

He became known as an actor in 1984 for the DEFA film Ete and Ali , in which he played the role of Ali. 1986/87 he took a role in the feature film Liane and was seen in 1988 in the film Green Wedding . When his son Johann was born in 1989, he was still in front of the camera as an actor in Der Drache Daniel . He played other roles in 1990/91 in The Land Behind the Rainbow , 1991/92 in Cosima's Lexicon and 1993/94 in Fernes Land Pa-isch . He was last seen in the film Whiskey with Vodka in 2009 .

Was henceforth Putensen solely as a musician active and founded the Soirée -Session band with which he DDR - pioneer songs recorded. In 1999 he founded the Panzerkreuzer-Putensen-Band .

Putensen has headed the Putensen Beat Ensemble since 2008, which also includes Anett Kölpin , Angelika Weiz , Günther Fischer and his daughter Laura Fischer, Georgi Gogow and Wolfgang Schneider in a changing composition . The ensemble played songs by Manfred Krug and Günther Fischer from the 1970s.
