Thomas Schediwie

Thomas Schediwie (* 1954 ) is a German cycling trainer .

Life

 Schediwie, who comes from Stralsund , was an active GDR cycling youth champion in cyclo- cross country .

He studied at the German University for Physical Culture in Leipzig . From 1976 he worked as a cycling trainer at the Army Sports Club Frankfurt / Oder and at that time the youngest club trainer in the German Democratic Republic . He worked in Frankfurt / Oder until 1992.

From autumn 2002 he worked with Andreas Klöden , in January 2008 they separated. Under Schediwie's guidance, Klöden finished second in the Tour de France in 2004 and 2006 . Schediwies protégés were among others André Kluge , Thomas Schnelle , Hubert Denstedt , Steffen Wesemann , Stephan Schreck , Lado Fumic and Manuel Fumic , Marc Gölz , Ralph Näf , Daniel Musiol , Björn Thurau , Falk Boden and Ronny Lauke .

Schediwie later worked as a regional trainer for the Baden Cycling Association until the end of 2016 and looked after the mountain bikers.
