Thorsten Benner

Thorsten Benner (* 1973 in Freudenberg near Siegen ) is a German political scientist , co-founder and director of the non-profit think tanks Global Public Policy Institute (GPPi) ​​in Berlin .

Thorsten Benner studied political science , history and sociology at the University of Siegen , the University of York ( United Kingdom ) and the University of California at Berkeley ( USA ). From 2001 to 2003 he was the McCloy Scholar at Harvard Kennedy School of Government , where he received a Masters in Public Administration. As a member of the SPD, he received scholarships from the Friedrich Ebert Foundation , the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) and the German National Academic Foundation .
