Ti Lung ( Chinese  狄龍  /  狄龙 , Pinyin Dí Lóng , W.-G. Ti Lung , Jyutping Dik 6 Lung 4 ; * August 3, 1946 as Tommy Tam Fu-Wing - 譚富榮  /  谭富荣 , Tán Fùróng , Jyutping Taam 4 Fu 3 wing 4 - in Xinhui , Guangdong China ) is a Chinese actor . He is one of the best-known actors in martial arts films from the Hong Kong- based film studio Shaw Brothers . In Europe, The Sword of the Yellow Tiger , Drunken Master II , City Wolf and City Wolf II are among his most famous films.

Life

Ti Lung is considered one of the Shaw Brothers ' strongest kung-fu stars , whom some even refer to in connection with Bruce Lee .

In the late 1960s he began like many colleagues as a stuntman with the Shaw Brothers, before he received his first leading role in the love tragedy Si jiao . After that, director Chang Cheh gave him roles in which he could show his skills in martial arts ( Wing Chun ). Together with him and David Chiang , Chang Cheh formed the fighting duo known as the "Deadly Duo" in the early 1970s, which became the first of those for whom the director became so famous. Together, the two actors became famous and caused various box office hits, but Ti Lung was always in the shadow of David Chiang. The two separated in the late 1970s, which meant a big career boost for Ti Lung.

Even after the Shaw Brothers disbanded, he remained active as an actor. He was in a relationship with actress Li Ching at the time and was still with Ching Li , who was also married, after his wedding .

Ti is already for many years with Tao Man-Ming A married and has one son, Shaun Tam B .
