The Tidaholms GoIF , which is often also written Tidaholms G&IF or Tidaholms GIF , is a Swedish football club in Tidaholm . The team played in the course of its history for over twenty seasons in the second-highest Swedish division.

The Tidaholms GoIF was founded in December 1902. After the promotion to the second division in 1936, the club established itself in the following years at the second level. After several placements in the middle of the table, the club won the runner-up in Division 2 Västra behind GAIS in 1941 , but was six points behind. The result was repeated in the following season when the season winner Lundby IF had three points ahead. Also in the following seasons, the team stayed in the front division and won the relay in 1945 before Örgryte IS and Karlstads BIK . In the promotion round to Allsvenskan , the team failed on competitor Jönköpings Södra IF , who had previously won all 18 games in his season. As a runner-up, the club missed re-participation in the promotion round in the two subsequent seasons, but survived a league reform in the second division.
After Tidaholms GoIF was able to convince in the first season of the second division, which is now only played in two seasons in 1948, as third in the table behind promoted Landskrona BoIS and Örgryte IS, the team missed relegation with only four wins of the season in the following year and rose to third class with Billingsfors IK from. In the following years, Tidaholms GoIF slipped into the middle of the table and missed relegation in 1980. The immediate resurgence was followed by relegation to fourth class. The team returned as the season winners in the third level, where they soon established themselves in the front of the table and in 1992 managed to return to the second division. The stay there lasted only one season. The relegated placed in the mid-1990s regularly in the middle of the third division, before 1997 was relegated to the fourth division. Tidaholms GoIF only missed direct resurgence in the promotion games, which was made up for the following year as a season winner.
At the beginning of the new millennium, Tidaholms GoIF initially settled in the third division, but missed relegation in 2004. In the following season, the team was bottom of the table in the fourth division victim of a league reform and rose to the sixth division, where they first placed in the middle of the table. In 2010 the club was relegated from the sixth division. After returning to Division 4, TGoIF barely missed promotion to the fifth division in 2016.
