Tilo Keiner (born July 6, 1962 in Düsseldorf ) is a German actor .

biography

Nobody came to the theater while studying sports in Cologne when they joined the Countercheck Quarrelsome theater group founded by Karin Beier and Elmar Goerden . From 1986 to 1989 he played under the direction of Karin Beier in a total of seven William Shakespeare productions in English. After completing his diploma thesis, he studied at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art from 1989 to 1991 and was then employed at the Stadttheater Trier . In 1993 he went back to England for two more years and at the same time played the leading role in A Clockwork Orange at the State Theater in Nuremberg .

In 1995 he got a leading role in the English television series Heartbeat , further roles in German and English series followed and in 1997 he had a role in Steven Spielberg's Saving Private Ryan . In 1998 he played Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart in Peter Shaffers Amadeus at the Ernst Deutsch Theater in Hamburg and on the subsequent tour of Germany. In 2001 he took on a role in Richard III at the Schauspielhaus Bochum under the direction of Karin Beier. From 2004 to 2006 he was given a lead role in the ABBA - Musical Mamma Mia! .

In 2005 Karin Beier signed him again, this time to Worms for the Nibelungen Festival . There he met the artistic director and director Dieter Wedel , who cast him for years in Worms and in 2009 in the TV film Greed .
