Tim Krohn
Tim Krohn (born February 9, 1965 in Wiedenbrück , North Rhine-Westphalia ) is a writer living in Switzerland . 2009, the city gave him Zurich , the Swiss citizenship , since he is German-Swiss citizen.
Life
Tim Krohn (* 1965) has lived in Switzerland since 1966. He grew up in Glarus . From 1984 to 1992 he studied German , philosophy and political science and now lives as a freelance writer in Santa Maria Val Müstair with his wife and three children . He is the author of prose texts , dramas and radio plays .
Tim Krohn is a member of the Association of Authors of Switzerland . From 1998 to 2001 he was President of the predecessor organization, the Swiss Writers' Association. He received the following awards, among others: the UNDA Radio Prize in 1993 , the Conrad Ferdinand Meyer Prize in 1994, a single work prize from the Swiss Schiller Foundation in 1998 , and in 2007 he and Vrenelis Gärtli won the choice for the best Swiss book and received Anne prizes for the same work -Marie Schindler Foundation, from the city and canton of Zurich. In 2011 he received the Culture Prize of the Canton of Glarus. He wrote the stage template for the Einsiedler Welttheater in 2013.
At the invitation of Juri Steiner , Tim Krohn took part in the Ingeborg Bachmann Prize 2015.
Also in 2015, Tim Krohn started the crowdfunding project “Menschliche Stungen”. The first volume of the resulting novel series was published in 2017.
Tim Krohn also writes detective novels under the pseudonym Gian Maria Calonder. The first was published in 2018 under the title Engadine abysses , and Endstation Engadin will appear in autumn 2019 .
