Tim Lambesis
Tim Lambesis (born November 21, 1980 in Del Mar , North County , California , real name Timothy Peter Lambesis ) is an American rock musician. He is the singer of the metalcore band As I Lay Dying and ran a solo side project called Austrian Death Machine . He also founded the death metal band Pyrithion , which released an EP in 2013.
In 2008 and 2010, Lambesis was on the jury of the Independent Music Awards , a music award for independent artists from around the world.
As a guest musician, he has already recorded a piece each for Bleeding Through , Sworn Enemy , Winter Solstice , Evergreen Terrace , Impending Doom , War of Ages , The Devil Wears Prada and Jamey Jasta .
Lambesis also works as a music producer. In addition to albums by his band As I Lay Dying, he also produced releases by Sworn Enemy, Destruction of a Rose , Zao , Impending Doom, Chelsea Grin , Molotov Solution , War of Ages, Sea of Treachery and Carnifex .
On May 7, 2013, Tim Lambesis was arrested for inciting the murder of his wife. He was initially released and arrested again in October 2013. On February 7, 2014, he pleaded guilty and on May 16, he was sentenced to six years in prison, after which the rest of the band announced they would take a break. Lambesis was released early from prison in California on December 17, 2016 and is currently on parole. Lambesis returned to the band and they released the new song My Own Grave in June 2018 .
