Timo Kunert (born March 12, 1987 in Gladbeck ) is a German soccer player .
Career
societies
The young player moved from VfB Kirchhellen to the D-youth team of FC Schalke 04 in 1999, where he went through all youth teams. He celebrated his greatest success so far at club level in 2006 when he became German champion with Schalke's A-Juniors. At the beginning of the 2006/07 season, Kunert received a professional contract with the Gelsenkirchen team. He was mostly used, however, in the Schalke league team. Kunert played his first Bundesliga game on April 7, 2007 against Borussia Mönchengladbach when he came on for Mesut Özil in the 90th minute . In August 2007 he moved to Hamburger SV , where he signed a contract until 2009. However, he was used there exclusively in the second team, which plays in the Regionalliga Nord . In the 2009/10 season Kunert moved to Sportfreunde Lotte in the Regionalliga West . After two seasons in Lotte, Kunert moves to the third division club Rot-Weiß Oberhausen for the 2011/12 season , with whom he was relegated to the Regionalliga West as penultimate.
For the 2012/13 season he moved to Sportfreunde Lotte . A year later he went to local rivals VfL Osnabrück , where his former coach Maik Walpurgis also worked. In the 2014/15 season he moved to the Regionalliga Südwest for 1. FC Saarbrücken , then during the winter break of the 2015/16 season to the South-West regional division TSV Steinbach . Kunert won the Hessen Cup with TSV Steinbach on May 21, 2018 and thus moved into the DFB Cup . For the 2019/20 season, Kunert signed a contract with FSV Frankfurt , who also plays in the Regionalliga-Südwest .
National team
Kunert completed three matches for the U18 team of the DFB , 13 matches for the U19 team and came to an assignment for the U20 team.
Style of play
Kunert has both feet and is mainly used on the outside lanes or centrally in front of the back four .
