Timothy J. Keller (born September 23, 1950 in Lehigh Valley , Pennsylvania ) is an American Protestant theologian and Presbyterian pastor. He founded the Redeemer Presbyterian Church in Manhattan , New York , which in turn has built 250 parishes in 48 cities. Keller grew up in Lehigh Valley, Pennsylvania. He studied at Bucknell University in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania and received his BA in 1972.
