Glenside is a census-designated place in Montgomery County in the US state of Pennsylvania with (2000) 7914 residents. It belongs to the townships of Abington and Cheltenham .

Located in town is Arcadia University , on whose campus is the National Historic Landmark Gray Towers Castle , and Westminster Theological Seminary, Presbyterian Theological College .

Glenside Station is served by the regional trains of the Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority (SEPTA). It is an intermediate stop for line R2 to Warminster , line R5 to Doylestown and the eastern terminus of line R1 to Philadelphia International Airport .

Glenside is home to the Presbyterian and Reformed theological college Westminster Theological Seminary , which was founded in 1929 by New Testament scholar John Gresham Make (1881-1937). It bears its name because of the Protestant creed of Westminster , since the founder wanted to turn away from theological liberalism and return to original Reformation beliefs.
