Christine "Tine" Wittler (born April 2, 1973 in Rahden , Westphalia ) is a German writer , film producer , actress , singer and television presenter .

Life

Tine Wittler grew up in East Westphalia Rahden up and put 1992 on Söderblom-Gymnasium in Espelkamp the High School from. She spent one year of school in the United States . She studied cultural and communication sciences at Leuphana University Lüneburg and at the University of South Wales (UK) . From 1998, she began as an editor for various formats, such as Bravo TV , work. In 2002 she published her debut novel The Princess and the Horst ; In 2003, the follow-up novel Horst Go Home! as well as Parallelwelt , a novel in which Tine Wittler deals with the topic of unemployment from her own experience. All three novels are set in Hamburg-Ottensen , where she lives . This was also followed by the novels Irgendwas is immer (2007) and We would be so far (2009).

In 2012 she published Who Wants to Be Beautiful, Must Travel , a non-fiction book about her research trip to Mauritania, West Africa, in which she deals with the emergence and social significance of ideals of beauty. As part of this project, she also worked as a film producer for the first time and, with her independent production company, prallefilm Who Wants to Be Beautiful, Must Travel (Director: René Schöttler) as a documentary in the cinemas (nationwide theatrical release in September 2013), in which she was also the protagonist you can see. The film received the rating “Valuable” from the FBW Filmbewertungsstelle. Previously, in 2008, she had a guest appearance in the movie Morgen, Ihr Luschen! The Ausbilder Schmidt film (director: Mike Eschmann , role: "Verena").

Since 2013 she has been involved with the ReBelles movement for body diversity and acceptance in society and the media. The rebelles encourage, among other schoolgirls and young women in their self-esteem.

From October 2003 until the setting of the program in 2013 moderated Wittler the RTL telecast use in four walls . A guidebook of the same name was published for this broadcast in October 2005, to which several follow-up volumes have since appeared. In May 2010 she hosted the TV format Unterm Hammer , which was discontinued after only one episode was broadcast. Before it was discontinued, the format had caused considerable criticism in the German media. The main criticism was that an act invented by the production company Open Sense (producer: Petra Schorr) was conveyed as reality to the viewers, the selected couple, the station managers and the presenter. The responsible producer Petra Schorr later apologized publicly to Tine Wittler.

In summer 2012 she married her significant other.

On June 14, 2013, RTL announced that the TV format “Use in 4 Walls” would be discontinued after 10 years due to “too low ratings”. It had become known in advance that several German tax offices had sent tax notices to the mostly socially disadvantaged candidates on the show. To date, nothing is known about binding case law on the subject.

Wittler uses her fame to publicize young filmmakers, writers, musicians and visual artists. Tine Wittler has been running the parallelwelt restaurant in Hamburg since 2004 . After starting in the Altona-Nord district , this has been in the Eimsbüttel district since the end of 2014 . The gastronomic business developed into an off-culture center in which Tine Wittler offers performing and visual artists a stage. Since the beginning of June 2016, the cultural property rental gallery for visual artists has also been part of this cultural center .

From July 2013, Wittler ran her fashion label prallewelt (since 2006) under the new name "kingsizequeens". At the beginning of 2016, she handed over the fashion studio to her previous partner. Wittler now runs her organization office for art and culture under the previous label name "kingsizequeens".

At the beginning of 2013, Wittler took legal action against advertising for slimming pills on Facebook . In the advertisement it was claimed that Wittler had lost 20 kilograms in a short time due to advertised pills. In addition to Wittler's name, photos of her were also used. Facebook deleted the advertisement in spring 2013, but after six months the advertisement reappeared in a slightly different way. End of February 2014 demanded Wittlers lawyer Facebook a cease and desist declaration . The aim was not to delete unauthorized advertising with Tine Wittler only on request, but rather to check advertising with the letter combination Wittler and Wittler's picture for their legality.

At the end of 2015, Tine Wittler published her first volume of poetry "Lokalrunde - Tresenlyrik, sippchenweise" (Kadera-Verlag). Together with the Hamburg pianist Greg Baker, she processed the texts from the poetry book into chansons, which she interpreted herself, accompanied by Greg Baker on the piano. Since 2016 Tine Wittler and Greg Baker have been going on a theater tour with the chanson program "Lokalrunde - Bar songs, sips" (including the Logensaal / Kammerspiele in Hamburg). The studio album was released on the “Künstlerhafen” label.
