Titular diocese of Patara

The diocese of Patara ( Latin Dioecesis Patarensis ) is a titular diocese of the Roman Catholic Church .

It goes back to an earlier diocese of the ancient city of Patara in the Lycia region of Asia Minor in the southwest of today's Turkey, which belonged to the ecclesiastical province of Myra .
