Tobias Schröder (born March 6, 1981 in Hagen ) is a former German handball player who was active in the Bundesliga for several years .

Schröder played in his youth at VfL Eintracht Hagen . At the age of 18, the backcourt player moved to the then second division club TSG Herdecke . In the summer of 2001 he signed the Bundesliga club VfL Gummersbach . After three seasons at VfL, the right-hander joined the Bundesliga promoted TuS Nettelstedt-Lübbecke . In 2006 he moved to league rivals Wilhelmshavener HV , with whom he was relegated to the 2nd division in 2008. In 2010 a move to VfL Bad Schwartau was imminent, but Schröder had to end his career prematurely due to several serious injuries. Schröder then took over the post of assistant coach at VfL. After Thomas Knorr was fired from VfL in October 2011, Schröder took over the coaching position. Three months later he gave up his coaching position for private reasons. Since the 2014/15 season, Schröder has been training the HSG Tills Löwen, for which he occasionally appears. The Tills Löwen initially played in the Schleswig-Holstein League and were relegated to the state league in 2016. Schröder gave up the team after promotion to the Schleswig-Holstein League in 2019. From October 2019 to June 2020, he coached third division HSG Baltic N / G .

Schröder completed eight international matches for the German national team , in which he scored 20 goals. Before that, he was on the junior national team 25 times.
