Flight 93
Flight UA 93, a Boeing 757 aircraft , took off from Newark at 8:01 a.m. The destination was San Francisco . After the flight United Airlines Flight 93 was hijacked by 4 men, projectors and other passengers tried to communicate with people on the ground. At the same time, they learned that the World Trade Center and the Pentagon had also been attacked with the help of hijacked aircraft. Beamer tried to speak to GTE Corporation (General Telephone & Electronics Corporation) using the phone built into the aircraft. He was referred to the manager Lisa Jefferson and told her that a passenger had been killed and that later the captain and co-pilot had been forced to leave the cockpit and were wounded. He was still on the phone when the plane turned south-east. He later said that some passengers wanted to "jump on" the kidnappers and prevent them from doing their thing . The passengers intended to land the plane themselves. Beamer recited Psalm 23 by heart with Jefferson . According to Jefferson's report, Beamer's final words were, “Are you ready guys? Okay, let's roll ” . The plane crashed shortly after 10 a.m.
