Tomáš Kudělka (born March 10, 1987 in Gottwaldov , Czechoslovakia ) is a Czech ice hockey player who has been under contract with VHK Vsetín in the Czech 1st division since October 2019 .
Career
Tomáš Kudělka began his career as a hockey player in his hometown in the youth department of HC Zlín , for whose professional team he was active in the Czech extra league from 2003 to 2005 . Then the defender was selected in the NHL Entry Draft 2005 in the fifth round as a total of 136 players by the Ottawa Senators , for whom he never played. Instead, he ran from 2005 to 2007 in the Canadian Junior Western Hockey League for the Lethbridge Hurricanes . Between 2005 and 2010, the former junior international played a total of 182 games for Ottawa's farm team , the Binghamton Senators from the American Hockey League . He scored twelve goals and gave 36 templates. Then the Czech returned to Europe and signed a contract for the 2010/11 season with the newly founded HK Budiwelnik Kiev from the Continental Hockey League . Since his new club did not start playing, he left it again and was signed by HC Eaton Pardubice from the Extraliga in August 2010 .
In mid-October 2010, Kudělka was committed to TPS Turku from the SM-liiga after nine games in the Czech Republic . For the 2011/12 season he returned to his Czech homeland and signed a contract with HC Vítkovice Steel from the Extraliga. There he played until 2016 with the exception of the first half of the 2014/15 season, which he spent with the Pelicans in the Liiga.
In July 2017, Kudělka was signed by KHL Medveščak Zagreb from the Austrian Ice Hockey League (EBEL) . In December 2018 he moved within the league to HC Innsbruck .
International
For the Czech Republic , Kudělka took part in the U18 Junior World Championships in 2005 and the U20 Junior World Championships in 2006 and 2007 .
