Tom Marx (born June 16, 1994 in Sittard ) is a Dutch ice hockey player who has been under contract with the Eaters Limburg again since 2014 and has played with the club in the newly founded Belgian-Dutch BeNe League since 2015 .

Career

Clubs

Tom Marx began his career as a hockey player in the youth department of the Eaters Geleen , for whose second team he played in the second-class Eerste divisie as a 14-year-old . In 2010 he moved to the Eindhoven Kemphanen , who initially used him in the "Eindhoven High Techs", their reserve team, also in the Eerste divisie. Since 2011 he has also played for the fighting cocks in the honor division , where over time he has developed into a regular player. In 2014 he returned to Geleen to the Eaters, which were now called "LACO Eaters Limburg". Since 2015 he has been playing with his club in the newly founded Belgian-Dutch BeNe League .

International

For the Netherlands, Marx took part in the games of the U18 World Championships in Division II in 2011 and 2012 as well as in the U20 Junior World Championships in 2011 , 2012 , 2013 and 2014 , when he was voted the best player in his team, also in Division II .

He made his debut for the men's national team in February 2016 in qualifying for the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang . He then played in Division II at the 2016 World Cup in April of the same year , where he and his team were promoted to Division I.
