Tom Van Asbroeck (born April 19, 1990 in Aalst ) is a Belgian racing cyclist .
Career
Tom Van Asbroeck won the U23 Omloop Het Nieuwsblad in 2011 . He received his first professional contract in 2012 with Topsport Vlaanderen-Mercator . The following year he won the Beverbeek Classic and won bronze at the UCI Road World Championships in the U23 road race.
In 2014 Van Asbroeck won the individual ranking of the UCI Europe Tour , among other things with many top placements. In 2015 he signed with the Dutch UCI WorldTeam Lotto NL-Jumbo . He won the mountain classification at the Arctic Race of Norway 2016 . There was a stage win at the Tour du Poitou-Charentes 2016 . For this he got the points evaluation.
For the 2017 season he moved to Cannondale Drapac . Van Asbroeck was able to place in the top 10 several times during the season. His best placement was a third stage place on the third stage of the Vuelta a España 2017 . At the Vuelta 2018 he was able to finish in the top 10 in two stages. At the end of the 2018 season he left the team and switched to the Israel Cycling Academy .
