Tomás Javier Calvillo Unna

Tomás Javier Calvillo Unna (born January 8, 1955 in Mexico City ) is a Mexican ambassador .

Life

Tomás Javier Calvillo Unna graduated from high school in San Luis Potosí . He studied Bacellor of Arts in International Relations at El Colegio de Mexico . He holds a Masters degree in history from the Universidad Iberoamericana . He received his PhD in Social Sciences from the Centro de Investigación en Antropología Social-Occidente (CIESAS) and the Universidad de Guadalajara .

Tomás Javier Calvillo Unna drew on Mexican history at Dartmouth College in New Hampshire . From 1978 to 1983 he headed the documentation department of a UNESCO project and the Secretaría de Educación Pública (SEP) in San Luis Potosí. From 1984 to 1985 he was employed in the international relations department of the SEP. From 1986 to 1990 he was a speaker at the Archivo Histórico del Estado de San Luis Potosí .

In 1991 he was an advisor in the election campaign for the governorship in the state of San Luis Potosí by Salvador Nava . The PRI candidate Fausto Zapata was declared governor of San Louis Potosi .

From 1992 to 1994 he headed the Centro de Investigaciones Históricas de San Luis Potosí AC Association. From 1994 to 1995 he studied at the Center for US Mexican Studies at the University of California in San Diego with a scholarship from the Ford Foundation .

From 1997 to 2007 he headed the El Colegio de San Luis, which he founded . He sits in the Consejo Nacional de Ciencia y Tecnología (CONACYT). He suggested the graduation of the International Relations course at El Colegio de San Luis . He is currently a member of the Political Studies and International Affairs program, where he is involved and coordinated in the projects “Diálogo entre Civilizaciones” and “La Construcción del Estado Nación desde la región”:
