Tomasz Hołota (born January 27, 1991 in Katowice ) is a Polish football player .

Career

The defensive midfielder began his career at Stadion Śląski Chorzów and later moved to GKS Katowice . In 2008 he made his debut in the second-rate first division for Katowice and completed 85 games in this class by 2012, scoring six goals. In the summer of 2012, Hołota moved to the first division club Polonia Warsaw , for whom he scored a goal in 22 games in the 2012/13 season. At the end of the season he moved to league rivals Śląsk Wrocław , since Polonia was denied the license for the coming season. For Wrocław he made 89 first division appearances and scored seven goals. In 2015, the team qualified fourth for the UEFA Europa League . A year later, Hołota moved to the German second division Arminia Bielefeld .

For the 2017/18 season he will return to the Ekstraklasa at Pogoń Stettin and sign a three-year contract. But already in August 2019 he moved on to the second division Zagłębie Sosnowiec .
