Toni Arjeton Osmani (born May 8, 1985 in Pantin , Kosovo , Yugoslavia ) is a German actor .

Life

Toni Arjeton Osmani is of Albanian origin; he was born in Kosovo in the former Yugoslavia . At the age of six he came to Germany with his family as a refugee from the civil war .

He grew up in a migrant district in Munich ; There he was discovered at the age of twelve, as a "ghetto id ", for a lay role . For the first time he played a small supporting role in the feature film A Handful of Grass by Roland Suso Richter (2000; shooting time: 1998) in front of the camera. Osmani visited the support center Munich North in the district of Hasenbergl , where he took part in the cross-class ghetto kids project “Thealimuta” and the self-help project for children and young people “Lichttaler”. Osmani was artistically active in the context of the Ghettokids projects, especially in the areas of theater and breakdance . In 2003 he completed his secondary school diploma at a vocational school .

He played his first leading role under the direction of Christian Wagner in the television film Ghettokids - Brothers Without a Home (2001). In it he embodied Maikis, a young Greek of Turkish descent who lives with his brother and mother in a one-room apartment in the Munich district of Hasenbergl and gets by as a dealer and petty criminal, while his brother sells himself as a prostitute ; Osmani played alongside Barbara Rudnik in this film .

Osmani also starred in the short film Bes (2009). He embodied the role of the Kosovar refugee Bes, who works as a box packer in a beverage market, likes punk music and who is threatened with deportation to his home country after the end of the Kosovo war . The film premiered on ARTE in October 2009 .

Osmani has been on television regularly since 2002 . In 2003 he had a guest role in the ARD early evening series Marienhof . He played in it (episodes 2096 to 2108) Ergin Kaplan, the 16-year-old Turkish great-nephew of the role character Sülo Özgentürk ( Giovanni Arvaneh ) , who has already had several criminal records .

In 2008 he had a leading role in the ZDF crime series SOKO 5113 . He was also seen unsolved in scenes from the TV show Aktenzeichen XY ...

Occasionally Osmani also worked as a stage actor . In 2010 he played at Theater Halle 7 in Munich in a workshop production of the play EPIC 3.0 by Hubert Schipkowski .
