Anthony Robbins
Anthony "Tony" Robbins , actually Anthony J. Mahavorick , (born February 29, 1960 in Azusa ) is an American bestselling author and NLP trainer. He is also known as an instructor for coaches .
Life
Robbins is the author of three bestsellers on Success and Neuro-Linguistic Programming and is the founder of Neuroassociative Conditioning . He learned neurolinguistic programming under NLP co-founder John Grinder .
Robbins was born Anthony J. Mahavorick on February 29, 1960 and grew up in Azusa , California. When he was seven, his parents' marriage ended in divorce and Tony took the surname of his second stepfather, Jim Robbins.
At the beginning of his career, Robbins dealt with health and fitness. Robbins' diet and health teachings were influenced by Harvey and Marilyn Diamonds Fit for Life and also Robert Young. Robbins offers numerous seminars on these topics.
Robbins has advised celebrities like President Bill Clinton and professional athletes like Greg Norman , Mike Tyson , Chuck Liddell , Diego Sanchez and Andre Agassi, and teams like the Los Angeles Kings .
In 1993, Toastmasters International recognized him as one of the top five speakers in the world.
He played himself in a guest role in the 2001 comedy film Schwer in love .
criticism
Critics accuse Robbins of promoting scientifically unproven techniques. These include u. a. the intake of wheatgrass juices as well as the magnetic field theory, which evaluates food based on its energy frequency, and is based on the Fit for Life by Harvey and Marilyn Diamond, which is considered to be scientifically unsound .
