Torjus Hansén (born October 29, 1973 in Skien ) is a former Norwegian football player . The defender played in his active career for clubs in Norway as well as a season in the German Bundesliga with Arminia Bielefeld . Most recently, Hansén was under contract with Odd Grenland in his home region of Grenland. His biggest titles include winning the Norwegian championship in 2003 and 2004.

Club career

Torjus Hansén was born in 1973 in Skien in the east of the Telemark province in the south of Norway. At the age of 20 he played his first professional season with Odd Grenland . After five seasons Hansén moved to Lillestrøm SK . The defensive player made his debut on the first day of the 1999 season against Brann Bergen . Hansén had to wait for the first goal until the 2001 season before converting a penalty against Emille Baron in the home game against Moss FK at Åråsen Stadium . In the further course of the season this met two more times with which Hansén was also able to contribute with goals to the runner-up in Lillestrøm. After a disappointing 2001 season with 7th place, he moved to Arminia Bielefeld . There he made his debut on matchday 3 against VfL Wolfsburg in the 2002/03 Bundesliga season . With a 1-0 home win from Ansgar Brinkmann's goal , it was a successful start for Hansén in Germany. After 13 match days, the defender was appointed for the first time by national coach Nils Johan Semb for the Norwegian national football team thanks to strong performances in the Arminen jersey . Despite the good start to the season, Arminia relegated to the 2nd Bundesliga, whereupon he moved back to Norway to the record champions Rosenborg Trondheim after just one season in Bielefeld and 31 games in the Bundesliga . With only eleven appearances in two seasons, which were crowned with two championship titles won with Trondheim, in which he often only came on as a substitute, Hansén moved to Odd Grenland, where he began his professional career in 1993. After six seasons with Grenland, Hansén ended his career at the age of 37. The last time he was on the field was the 3-2 home defeat by Brann Bergen in July 2011 when he came on for Fredrik Semb Berge at half-time .

National team

For Norway , Hansén played one game each for the U-16, U-17 and U-20 . His first appearance in the senior Scandinavian team was against Austria on November 20, 2002. Two more international matches against Greece and Ireland followed .
