Toshio Toyota

Toshio Toyota ( Japanese 豊 田 敏夫 , Toyota Toshio; born July 19, 1956 in Hitoyoshi , Kumamoto Prefecture ) is a former Japanese sprinter .

In 1977 he was sixth in the 200 m athletics World Cup in Düsseldorf and won bronze at the Pacific Conference Games .

Over the same distance, he also won bronze at the Asian Athletics Championships in 1979.

In 1981 he won the Asian Championships over 200 m. At the Athletics World Cup in Rome he was eighth in the 200 m and seventh with the Asian team in the 4 x 100 meter relay .

At the Asian Games in New Delhi in 1982 , he won silver over 200 m.

Twice he was Japanese champion over 100 m (1977, 1979) and four times over 200 m (1977, 1979, 1980, 1982).
