Yang Chun-han ( Chinese  楊俊瀚 ; born January 1, 1997 in Yuli ) is a Taiwanese sprinter .

Athletic career

Yang Chun-han gained his first international experience at the World Youth Championships in Donetsk in 2013 , where he was eliminated in the first round of the 100-meter run with 11.17 seconds. He then won over 200 meters at the Asian Youth Games in Nanjing and won the bronze medal over 100 meters in 10.73 s. The following year he was sixth in the 100 meters and fifth in the 200-meter run at the Asian Junior Championships in Taipei . In addition, he won the bronze medal in the Taiwanese 4 x 100 meter relay in 39.91 s. He then took part in the Youth Olympic Games in Nanjing over 200 meters and won the bronze medal there in 21.31 s. At the beginning of October he reached the semi-finals over 200 meters at the Asian Games in Incheon, South Korea and finished fifth in the relay in 39.20 seconds. In 2015 he won the bronze medal with the relay at the Asian Championships in Wuhan in 39.35 s, was fifth over 200 meters in 20.96 s and was eliminated in the semifinals over 100 meters with 10.48 s. He then took part in the Summer Universiade in Gwangju for the first time, was disqualified over 100 meters, reached the semi-finals over 200 meters and could not finish his preliminary run with the relay.

In 2016 he won the Junior Asian Championships in Ho Chi Minh City in 20.73 s in the 200-meter run and with 39.75 s also in the relay. Thus, he qualified for the U20 World Championships in Bydgoszcz , Poland , where he was fifth in the individual competition in 20.81 s and eliminated with the relay in the preliminary stages. The following year he won bronze over 100 meters and gold over 200 meters at the Asian Championships in Bhubaneswar . He also took seventh place with the relay. He then took part again in the student world games in Taipei and won there over 100 meters and won the bronze medal with the relay and finished seventh in the 200-meter run in 21.07 s. In 2018 he again took part in the Asian Games in Jakarta , where he won the silver medal in the 200-meter run behind the Japanese Yūki Koike in 20.23 seconds . He was also fifth over 100 meters and fourth with the Taiwanese relay. The following year he won the silver medal in the relay in 39.18 s at the Asian Championships in Doha behind the team from Thailand and finished fifth over 100 meters in 10.28 s. Then he retired at the World Relays in Yokohama with 38.89 s in the preliminary round and also at the World Championships in Doha he was eliminated over 200 meters with 20.80 s in the lead . Previously, he reached the semi-finals at the Summer Universiade in Naples over 200 meters and was eliminated there with 23.37 s.

Yang is a student at Taiwan National University of Sports .
