The Trüfte , also called Trufte , is a 9.6 km (measured from the uppermost source pond of its central source brook Mittelste ) long, left or northern tributary of the Eder in the Rothaar Mountains , Siegen-Wittgenstein district in North Rhine-Westphalia .
course
The source streams of the Trüfte in the Sauerland-Rothaargebirge nature park exclusively in the district of the city of Bad Berleburg - Österze ( Osterzebach ; 3.5 km long), Mittelste (on the German basic map of the side stream of the Österze; from the uppermost source pond to Österze 3.5 km, only 2.9 km are recorded in the stationing) and Westerze ( Westerzebach ; 3.4 km) - arise in a wooded area on the south-eastern roof of the Rothaargebirge main ridge (Kühhuder Rothaar ): on the southwest flank of the Großer Kopf ( 740.8 m above sea level) . NHN ) the Westerze , below its notch to the 740.0 m high base of the Hohscheid the middle and below the last mentioned summit the Österze .
The three Trüfte source streams, which come from the 38.4 km² nature reserve Rothaarkamm on Grenzweg (NSG No. 329598), founded in 2004 as part of Mittelste and Österze , leave the Rothaarkamm in a southerly direction. First the Österze and Mittelste flow together, then the Westerze comes after about 350 m from the northwest . From there the Trüfte continues to flow through the wooded area of the Sauerland-Rothaargebirge Nature Park southwest.
After that, the Trüfte passed the hamlet Winterscheid to just to the south of it in Trufte , located just west of Berghausen , there in the coming about of the West connects Fulda influx Eder to lead .
The mean slope of the river bed, measured from the top spring, is an impressive 3%; if you see their origin at the beginning of the stationing, it is only 1.9%.
Hydrology
The water has a very positive water quality. It is consistently assigned to water quality class I-II, which corresponds to a low level of biological pollution.
