Trakiszki ( Lithuanian Trakiškės ) is a village in the powiat Sejneński of the Podlaskie Voivodeship in Poland . The place has 92 inhabitants and belongs to the rural municipality Puńsk , which has been bilingual since 2006 (Polish and Lithuanian).
geography
The place is located 23 kilometers northeast of Suwałki and three kilometers from the border with Lithuania .
history
From 1975 to 1998 the place and municipality belonged to the Suwałki Voivodeship .
monument
The old train station of the village was erected as a wooden building in 1896 and placed under monument protection in 1975 and entered in the Polish list of monuments with the number 634190.
traffic
The place is the border station on the railway line Białystok - Suwałki - Šeštokai - Kaunas . The route is served by one train pair on Monday, and by two pairs of trains each on Saturdays and Sundays from the “ Przewozy Regionalne ” trains (as of November 2018).
