The Treue Neighboring Pond , also called the Direction Pond , is a reservoir in Saxony-Anhalt . It is an earth dam that dams the Glasebach .
description
The reservoir cascade was at the top of the Straßberg mining water management system. Since the loyalty neighboring pond was the lowest pond, the water was led from here into the pits Pfennigturm , Kreuz and Schwarzer Hirsch . The water pipe was made via a wooden oak run that was laid under the arable land.
On the south and east bank, the forest extends to the pond bank, on the north bank there is a campsite, the access to which leads over the dam of the lazy puddle . There is a beautiful natural lawn by the pond. An unpaved parking lot near the pond allows you to get to the pond by car.

Meadow bluegrass , narrow-leaved meadow bluegrass and common rushes were found in the neighboring pond . There are also real whitebeam south of the neighboring Treuer pond and mountain knapweed on the south-eastern edge of the forest.
history
The pond was built 1703–1704 under the direction of Georg Christoff von Utterodt and was used as an artificial pond until 1876 . The original storage space was 73,400 m³. The loyalty neighboring pond was the lowest pond of the reservoir cascade The three loyal neighbors .
In 1968/69 the pond was reconstructed. This went hand in hand with an increase in the traffic jam target to 100,000 m³. At the time of the GDR there was a children's holiday camp and training center (training center) of the VEB Kombinat “Kali” potash plant “Südharz” , works “ Karl Marx ” Sollstedt and “ Thomas Müntzer ” Bischofferode. In October 2010 the camp bungalows were still standing and a sign showed the way to the children's holiday camp. The jetty leading to the lake also still existed. The whole facility falls into disuse. The Treue neighboring pond is used today as a fishing and bathing pond.
Others
In 1994, a toad protection fence was erected at the Treuen neighboring pond, which is managed as a long-term nature conservation project by the Harz Club branch association Hayn Harz.
