Trimberg is a district of the Elfershausen market in the Lower Franconian district of Bad Kissingen .

Geographical location

Trimberg is located south of Elfershausen.

The B 287 runs through Trimberg , which leads in a north-easterly direction to Euerdorf and Bad Kissingen and in a south-westerly direction to Hammelburg and forms the Hammelburg 97 junction with the A 7 south-west of Trimberg . The A 7 runs west of Trimberg in a north-south direction.

history

Trimberg emerged as a settlement of farmers and craftsmen, located next to Trimburg Castle .

The place is considered the birthplace and hometown of Süßkind von Trimberg , a poet of Jewish origin from the second half of the 13th century. Little biographical information is known about the poet.

The first Trimberg church is mentioned in 1381. Today's Roman Catholic Church of St. Elisabeth's was built in the 18th century .

As part of the municipal reform , Trimberg became a district of the Elfershausen market on April 1, 1971 .
