The Trinks Group is a beverage logistics service provider for the food retail sector, but also for the catering industry. The origin lies in the "wholesale business for medicinal and mineral fountains" founded in Berlin in 1735 , the headquarters of the company's headquarters is now in Goslar .

history

Share for more than 1,000 marks in Brunnenvertriebs-AG from November 27, 1922

In 1735 the merchant JF Heyl founded a wholesaler for medicinal and mineral water in Berlin. In 1878 they joined forces with the Berlin-based wholesaler Dr. M. Lehmann to Dr. M. Lehmann and JF Heyl & Co. together. From 1922 one began to work together with the Rhenser Mineralbrunnen AG . Both companies were subsequently merged to form Brunnenvertriebs-AG . Because of the blockade of Berlin after the Second World War , the company headquarters was relocated to Goslar in 1948 and at the same time the company name was changed to Trinks AG in order to turn the AG into a GmbH in 1953. The Rhenser Mineralbrunnen and Trinks GmbH were now part of the Blaue Quellen AG , which was taken over by Nestlé in 1974 . The branch network has now been systematically expanded.

In 1976 Trinks GmbH had an annual turnover equivalent to 36 million euros, but in 2004 the 1 billion euros mark was exceeded. Through the acquisitions of several companies (2010: Wetterauer Getränke-Logistik GmbH, 2011: M. Hubauer GmbH & Co. Getränke & Logistik KG, 2012: WIFA Getränke-Logistik GmbH & Co. KG) the annual turnover of the Trinks Group now amounts to approx. 1.6 billion euros (2018).

With retroactive effect from January 1, 2018, all limited partner shares in Bier-Hövelmann GmbH & Co. KG were acquired by Mineralquellen und Getränke H. Hövelmann GmbH . Bier-Hövelmann will be continued as an independent company within the Trinks group of companies.
