The Czechoslovak U-20 national soccer team was a selection team of Czechoslovak soccer players. It was subordinate to the Českomoravský fotbalový svaz and represented it internationally at the U-20 level , for example in friendly matches against the teams of other national associations or at the U-20 World Cup .
The team took part in two World Cup finals. After she reached the quarter-finals in 1983 , which she lost 4-1 to Brazil , she was eliminated in the preliminary round in 1989 . Both the later world champion Portugal and the finalist Nigeria were in their group.
After the division of Czechoslovakia, the Czech U-20 national team and the Slovak U-20 national team emerged as successors.
