The Tschischapka ( Russian Чижапка ) is a 511 km long right tributary of the Wassjugan in Tomsk Oblast in Russia .
The Tschischapka flows from the Wassjuganje marshland in the West Siberian lowlands . Over its entire length it maintains a north-northeast direction of flow, whereby it meanders increasingly and finally flows into the Wassjugan a little below the village of Ust-Tschischapka.
The catchment area of the river covers 13,800 km². The most important tributaries are Chagwa (length 110 km), Tamyrsat (96 km), Jekylchak (198 km) and Salat (216 km), all from the left.
The discharge 24 km above the estuary is an annual mean of 85.49 m³ / s, with a maximum monthly mean of 271 m³ / s in May and a minimum monthly mean of 14.56 m³ / s in March. The river freezes over from late October / early November to late April / May.
The Tschischapka flows through a very sparsely populated area in the western part of the Parabelski and Kargassokski Rajons . Today there are no more villages on the river. The lower course of the river is navigable for 108 km from the mouth, but is currently not listed as an inland waterway . In the 1960s to 1980s, however, it played a role in exploring the oil and gas reserves in the area.
