Tucker Smallwood (born February 22, 1944 in Washington, DC ) is an American actor and author .

Life

As the eldest son of an educator and a diplomat , Tucker Smallwood joined the US Army in 1967 . Here he was made an officer of the infantry and served as a tactical officer at Fort Benning .

Smallwood tried his hand at the Vietnamese language and later led a mobile advisory team during the Vietnam War . After returning from Vietnam, Tucker Smallwood recovered from his war injuries and moved to New York , where he studied acting at the Neighborhood Playhouse .

He is also the author and narrator of the audio book Return to Eden , an anthology of 33 essays that describes both his adventures as a military advisor in Vietnam and his life as an actor afterwards - and his return to Vietnam in 2004.

As a passionate musician, he sang all the voices on the Delta Blues album "Incarnation: The Robert Johnson Project".
