Tura Satana
Tura Satana , actually Tura Luna Pascual Yamaguchi , (born July 10, 1938 in Hokkaidō , Japan , † February 4, 2011 in Reno , Nevada ) was an American actress .
Private life
Satana had three sisters and one brother. She was born in Japan and grew up in Chicago . There she attended the James A. Riis Elementary School . In 1961 the 1.70 m tall Satana, nicknamed "Miss Japan Beautiful", married for the second time, but her unknown husband died prematurely. On November 1, 1981, she married Endel Jurmann, who died on October 15, 2000. She was the mother of two daughters from previous relationships. According to her own statements, she turned down a marriage proposal from Elvis Presley . He is also said to have taken over his dance style and interest in karate from her.
Career
At the age of 13 she started exotic dancing. As a dancer, she made small appearances in films, for example in Derek Flint sends his corpse . She made her acting debut in 1963 in the film The Girl Irma la Douce, alongside Shirley MacLaine as Suzette Wong. Her best-known role is that of Varla in Russ Meyer's Die Satansweiber von Tittfield (Faster, Pussycat! Kill! Kill!) From 1965. In 2009 she played a judge in the film Sugar Boxx .
