At the end of the season he left this club and moved within the league to Vefa Istanbul . After he had looked after Vefa for a season, he took over the northern Turkish first division club Samsunspor .
In the summer of 1971 he took over Mersin IY again and coached this club for two years.
Before the 6th day of the 1979/80 season he took over from the resigned Coşkun Özarı as coach of Galatasaray Istanbul .
