Turhan Alçelik

Turhan Alçelik (born March 5, 1958 in Halkalı , Keşap County , Giresun ) is a Turkish ophthalmologist and former politician. He is the inventor of a headlamp with continuous long-distance lighting without glare (patent number: 03 81 9329.8).

Life

Alçelik, born in the village of Halkalı, attended the village elementary school. He completed middle school and high school in the provincial capital Giresun .

Alçelik graduated from Istanbul University Medical Faculty in 1982 . In the same year he started work in a health station in Tunceli . From 1983 to 1985 he did his military service. He then practiced as a doctor in a health station in Sakarya for four years . In 1991 he began his specialist training at the Faculty of Medicine of Cumhuriyet University in Sivas in the field of ophthalmology, which he completed in 1994. In 1995 he became a Doçent candidate at Harran University in Şanlıurfa , and a short time later he became senior physician at the university clinic there.

Also in 1995 he was elected as a member of parliament for the constituency of Giresun and won this election. As a result, he was a member of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey in the 20th and 21st legislative periods . Alçelik was a member of the Refah Partisi , from 1997 he was politically active in the Fazilet Partisi , from 2001 in the Saadet Partisi and from 2010 in the Halkın Sesi Partisi . In September 2012 this party disbanded and the members of the party joined the Adalet ve Kalkınma Partisi . In Parliament he was a member of the Committee on Health, Family, Labor and Social Affairs.
