Keşap is a Turkish coastal city on the Black Sea and at the same time the administrative center of the district of the same name in the Giresun province . The city is located approx. 10 km (14 km by road) east of the provincial capital Giresun .
The district was established in 1945 and borders the central ( Merkez ) Giresun district in the west, Dereli district in the south, Yağlıdere district in the southeast and Espiye district in the east. Its population density (105) is above the average for the province (64.6 inhabitants per km²). At the end of 2018, the district consisted of 44 villages ( Köy ) with an average of 257 residents (total village population: 11,308) in addition to the district town . Karabulduk is the largest village with 898 inhabitants.
