Güce is a Turkish city and at the same time the administrative center of the district of the same name in the province of Giresun . The city is located about 50 km (68 km by road) southeast of the provincial capital Giresun .

Güce County borders on Tirebolu County in the north and east , Doğankent County in the south-west, Espiye County in the north-west, and Yağlıdere County in the south-west . In addition, the Kürtün District of the Gümüşhane Province forms a common border in the south . The population density is slightly higher than a third of the provincial average of 64.6 inhabitants per square kilometer.
The newly formed district was split off in 1990 from the southwestern part of Tirebolu County. The split off places were until then part of the central Bucak Merkez of this circle. The last population information before the change of area comes from the 1985 census and showed 3,192 inhabitants for Güce.
At the end of 2018, the district consisted of 15 villages ( Köy ) with an average of 316 inhabitants per village (total population of all villages: 4,747 inhabitants) in addition to the district town . The village of Kuluncak is the largest with 580 inhabitants.
