Eynesil is a Turkish coastal town on the Black Sea and at the same time the administrative center of the district of the same name . The city is located approx. 66 km (76 km by road) east of the provincial capital Giresun .
The district was separated from the eastern part of the Görele district in 1960 and is bounded by this district to the west and south. In the east, the Trabzon province forms the border with the Beşikdüzü and Şalpazarı districts . Although the district has the smallest area, it has the second highest population density after the central district (274 inhabitants per km²), which is more than four times the provincial average (65.6).
In addition to the district town, the district consists of the municipality of Ören (2,152 inhabitants), south of the district town, and eleven villages ( Köy ) with an average of 339 residents. Kekiktepe is the largest village with 690 inhabitants.
