The Turnbull Peak is a 1,600 m high mountain in the East Antarctic Victoria Land . In the group of the Apocalypse Peaks , it looms at the head of the Hernandez Valley .
The New Zealand Geographic Board named it in 2005 after the New Zealand geologist Ian Turnbull, who worked in five Antarctic summer campaigns between 1988 and 1998 to create geological maps of the Asgard Range , Victoria Valley , Saint Johns Range , Mackay Glacier and Wilson Piedmont Glacier was involved.
