The Louis-Lewin-Straße underground station is a station on the Berlin underground line U5 in the Berlin district of Hellersdorf . The train station is 837 meters from the Hellersdorf underground station and 1025 meters from the Hönow underground station . It is listed within the BVG under the abbreviation LL .

History and structure

The underground station was built as part of the extension of the then line E to Hönow and opened on July 1, 1989. At that time was Hönow and the railway station outside Berlin in the GDR - District Frankfurt (Oder) , now both belong to the Marzahn-Hellersdorf .

Initially, the station name was Hönow-West . At the opening, however, the neighboring Paul-Verner-Strasse gave its name, which was renamed Louis-Lewin-Strasse on October 2, 1991 .

Like the other stations on this section of the route, the station has a roofed central platform and is at ground level. The color of the station is green.
