UN Ambassador for Peace
UN ambassadors for peace are distinguished personalities e.g. B. from the fields of art, drama, science, literature, music or sport, who support the work of the United Nations through their commitment .
The title is bestowed by the Secretary General of the United Nations .
Through public appearances, contacts to international media and their humanitarian commitment, the ambassadors try to broaden the public's understanding that the ideals and goals of the UN require worldwide attention.
