Whereabouts: Capitulated on May 9, 1945 in Horten (Norway), transferred to Scapa Flow and later sunk in Operation Deadlight .

U 2502 was a German type XXI submarine . After the building contract, which was issued on November 6, 1943, it was given hull number 2502, which also corresponded to the boat number that was later assigned. The keel was laid on April 25, 1944 at Blohm & Voss in Hamburg . It was commissioned with the 11th U-Flotilla in Horten on July 19, 1944 under Kptl. G. Mannesmann. On January 1, 1946, U 2502 was sunk during Operation Deadlight .
